These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of nelaroofcheck.com and the referral service offered by NELA Roof Check (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website or submitting our form, you agree to these Terms.
What NELA Roof Check is
NELA Roof Check is a free referral service that connects homeowners in Northeast Louisiana with one independent, licensed, insured local roofing contractor for a free roof inspection. NELA Roof Check is not a roofing contractor. We do not perform inspections, repairs, replacements, or any other construction work. All inspections and work are performed by independent third-party contractors who are separately licensed and insured.
No warranties about contractor work
We do not employ, control, supervise, or endorse the work of any contractor we match you with. We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the quality, timeliness, pricing, workmanship, safety, licensing status, insurance status, or results of any inspection, estimate, or work performed by any contractor. Any agreement for services, estimates, contracts, warranties, payments, or disputes is solely between you and the contractor. We are not a party to that agreement.
Eligibility and service area
This service is intended for homeowners located in our Louisiana service area, including Monroe, West Monroe, and surrounding Northeast Louisiana communities. You must be at least 18 years old and the owner of the property (or authorized by the owner) to request an inspection.
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you use our form, including your name, phone number, address, and roof-service need. Providing inaccurate information may prevent us or the matched contractor from reaching you or fulfilling your request.
Communications consent
When you submit the form and check the consent box, you agree that we and the matched contractor may contact you by phone, SMS, and email about your inspection request. See our Privacy Policy for details, including how to opt out of SMS by replying STOP.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NELA Roof Check, its owner, and its agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or property, arising out of or related to your use of the website, the referral service, or the work performed by any matched contractor — whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the service are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you consent to venue in those courts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
